In the context of the design of the living space in Uus Maailm, the objective is to adopt a methodology that is sensitive to temperature, materiality and heritage. The introduction of a foreign body into an existing building has been shown to result in the creation of a spatial and climatic contrast. The utilisation of contrast is twofold in this context. Firstly, it is employed for the delineation of rudimentary use cases, and secondly, it is employed for the exploration of divergent spatial qualities. It is posited that space should provide a multitude of possibilities.
